Lightroom Classic: Dual monitor issue

I don't expect a follow up to this post as I have not been able to define the exact problem. However LR Classic is unusable on a dual monitor setup. I attach the 2 monitors and LR opens as expected on monitor 1, I select the dual monitor icon (bottom left) and a new window (grid view) opens full screen on top of LR on monitor 1, not on monitor 2! This new window cannot be closed, cannot be sized, cannot be moved. LR at this point is unusable as you cannot get at the main interface to switch off the 2nd monitor. Only solution so far is too close LR, disconnect 2nd monitor, relaunch LR and DO NOT reconnect 2nd monitor otherwise the window that causes the problem relaunches itself without being asked! Will have to research this further...

Do keyboard shortcuts work?

Have you tried the following: First uncheck menu 'Window - Secondary Display - Full Screen'. Then activate the second monitor. That should give you the secondary monitor in a normal window, so you can move it to the second screen. Once you moved it there, you can try if you can lock it by activating full screen again.

Keyboard shortcuts 'work in the sense they switch on / off full screen for example so that helps but after moving the secondary view to the second monitor and selecting full screen it bounces back to the primary monitor. It might be because I have fixed LR to desktop 2 because otherwise LR madly switches between desktops (3 or 4 times a second!!).

Ah, sorted, it was because LR was locked to Desktop 2. Hopefully the rapid screen switching has been fixed, I will see how it goes. Thanks
