Photoshop/Bridge: Driver problem

When I try to open a picture from Bridge, I get a message as follows: The screen driver Intel HD Graphics Driver for Windows 8 (R) does not respond, and has been restored. Photoshop will not work. I have tried to upgrade my drives, without result. This has happened before, but Photoshop support fixed the problem.
Any help?

Where did you go to update your video driver? Did you go directly to the Intel website?

Does Photoshop start at all? What does the error from Photoshop say when you launch just Photoshop?
