Im trying to move my photos from my hard drive on my Mac to an external drive.  When I try to drag my "Macintosh HD" drive into the my folder I set up, it won't drag.  Help!

You cannot drag 'Macintosh HD' anywhere. You can only drag folders on 'Macintosh HD' to another drive.

You can't copy your boot drive by dragging/dropping, like John says. If you want to move the Lightroom Photos folder (or whatever you call it), to the external, then you have to EXACTLY recreate the Lightroom folder names on the external drive (inside "Lightroom Photos") and then move (drag/drop) the photos INSIDE LIGHTROOM from your old location on your boot drive to your new folder locations on the external that you've created. Right John?
