Need help. After receiving email that Revel is being deminished soon, I got downloader for getting my pictures onto my laptop. Then after unzipping it, I clicked on the application and getting error saying "missing procedure entry point SHGetPropertyStoreForWindow in dynamic link library SHELL32.dll" in Japanese as my OS is inJapanese. I am unable to start the app because of the error.

What OS are you using, XP?

Also, after unzipping the Adobe Revel Downloader from it's zip file, I see dates back in November, not current dates like you show, though I'm on Windows 10.

Here is where I downloaded the ZIP from:
https://www.adoberevel.com/download

And here is what I see for dates:

It is Windows Vista. I have deleted the folder and tried from your link above but getting the same error and current dates...

I am using WinRAR to decompress the ZIP to a folder. It must fix up the dates of the files back to the original. I tried Copy/Paste out of the zip into a folder using Windows Explorer and I see the current dates like you have them, so it doesn't indicate a problem, just a difference in the sophistication of the decompression method.

I don't have a way to test on a Vista computer. Setting Vista as the compatibility option on the EXE doesn't break it for me on a US-English system. Without being able to test on other systems, I can't tell if it's the OS or the language that's causing issues for you.

I can get the program to run (on Windows 10) using the Windows 95 compatibility option and I notice the close, max, restore icons are older style like on your Vista version so maybe it'd work. Compatibility is one of the EXE's Properties tabs, I think.

Otherwise, the best thing might be to find someone else with a newer OS or different OS language and see if they can download your Revel content and put it up on dropbox or google-drive or wherever and let you download it from there.

Revel ceases to exist Feb 26, 2016 so you have a little over a month.

And Adobe current main software only works on Windows 7 or newer, so if the Revel Download program has been developed using the same tools it may also have the same minimum OS.

Hi Mie,

Yes, Steve is correct. The Adobe Revel Downloader works on Win 7 and above. We are working on another option for those that have the older operating systems. If you cannot get access to a Win7 or above computer we'll have an option for you probably by next week.

I look forward to your update on the option you mentioned before spending some money to buy a machine with Win7 or above!
