Download to Two Devices ??

If I'm not mistaken, Adobe Photoshop CC can be downloaded to two devices (i.e. desktop and laptop), correct? I had it downloaded to my new laptop and I was at a Photography Workshop and could not open it unless I used the Wi-fi password. It said I was on the trial version even though I entered the code. Just wondering if this is normal. If not, what do I need to do to remedy this? Thanks.

Yes, your subscription license allows for the applications to be installed on two systems, not to be used simultaneously.
Your WiFi password was probably needed so the applications could contact Adobe's servers to verify your subscription.

Will this verification only happen once? What about if I need to work on photos, but I am somewhere where Wi-Fi is not available?

That depends on your subscription - a month to month subscription will try to verify itself every few weeks; where a yearly subscription will try to verify every few months. And you do need to connect to the net periodically to check for updates.
