Photoshop: Double clicking a file opens Photoshop, but not the file as well.

I'm using an Mac Mini running 10.9.1 and Photoshop 14.2.1 CC.

When I double click I file; to open it up and Photoshop; Photoshop opens but not the file. I have to double click the file again in Finder to open it.

Would be nice that both the app and the file open at one time. It always used to.

Cheers

This should work - unless you encounter a dialog on Photoshop start up. If quit PS and double-click the file, does it open correctly?

Hi Jeffrey

Sometimes it doesn't load the file, even if there is no dialogue box. It's random when it does it, so I can't quite pin point the reason.

So a fresh open of Photoshop, by double clicking the file will work, and some times it doesn't.

Cheers

Hmm. That would be odd. If you see any rhyme or reason to why it doesn't load, let me know. I've tried several times here with success everytime.

Thanks Jeffrey. I'll try and make a mental note of what I was doing and what other software is open at the same time. As a hunch, it seems to happen when I have Illustrator or Adobe Acrobat open. Cheers Glynn
