Lightroom Classic: Double click on image thumbnail has no response

Double clicking on a image in grid view usually brings up a list of options.  With the latest release of Lightroom Classic most of the time double clicking does nothing.  I can go to menu, photos and get the options there.  It has been my experience that many mouse options do not work the same in this release.

Follow on to the same problem.  In loupe view it getting a response depends upon where I double click in the image.  Center nothing happens, some lower areas bring up the options list.  Erratic and not consistent as to where I double click.

It's my experience that double clicking a grid view thumbnail switches the display to Library module Loupe view whereas right clicking a thumbnail displays a list of options.

On Windows, double clicking has always opened the image at 100% (1:1). Perhaps you have some sort of mouse software installed that changes mouse actions?

I'm on Windows 10 Pro. Plugging in a mouse will often install device specific drivers that extend basic mouse functionality. I've had software compatibility problems with non-Microsoft mice even with Microsoft wireless mice. Though I don't recall the specific issues.

Not sure what OP David Wilkins is writing about but it is NOT the natural behavior of LrC on either Windows or Apple MacOS (OS X).
As others above have stated double Right clicking goes from Grid to loupe views and if you double Right click again you go back to the previous view
