I cretaed favorites corresponding to folders on an external drive. If I click on one of these favorites when the disk is not conected, it displays an error message and delete the clicked fav. DON'T DO THIS, IT'S ANNOYING AS HELL. KEEP THE FAVORITES WHERE THEY ARE. THANK YOU.

Yes, please change this behaviour. There should at least be a messagebox with the choice to delete the folder,  yes/no

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Bridge favorites folder - don't delete if it can't be found (removable or network....

In Bridge, if I select a folder I had saved in my favorites list (usually it points to a folder on my compact flash card), if i forget to have the flash card inserted, it will say it can't be found and then it deletes the saved folder. It would be awesome if the folder link did not get erased automatically.

I came here to submit the same request. At work I'm connected to multiple network drives, some of which require daily authentication. If I'm not yet authenticated when I select a favorite, the favorite is deleted then I have to re-add. This is a waste of time. Please address.

Super annoying. I hate it. I googled the problem just to see if other people were annoyed.

Please Adobe fix this. Bridge is annoying enough without it unilaterally decided to throw away my favorites when the disk isn't connected. I can't imagine why it would do this in the first place. Take a cue from the finder and leave the folder there.

I agree this is most annoying. The dialog at the minimum needs a cancel button and a way to fix the link by searching for the favorite location. I recently copied all my files to a new HD with a different name (So I could distinguish the new drive from the old one) so all my favorites get deleted as I try to select them. This is an issue on the MAC and PC
