I have had adobe take control of my computer and they were supposed to escalate my problem to the next level...after two hours they could not figure out the problem...but here is what I know...(and I am computer illiterate) Ihave LR4 it is updated, I have Cs6 extended..it is updated. I am using 8.1 updated. I can open dngs from Finder into PS to edit. Cannot open dngs from LR into PS. Can open jpegs from Lr into PS but ONLY without LR adjustments. Bridge does not work at all. not from Finder either. I uninstalled PS and reinstalled it. Adobe determined third party editors, Nik software and Por professional were not an issue. Seems like LR is not communicating with PS. Why bridge not working from finder even?Adobe was supposed to call me Frid...called but not here...and when called back they said they would have then call me tonite...no call. I have been dumped by them!! I have a photoshop class coming up in four weeks and wanted to practice...and I cannot and there is no one that can help me...Where do I go from here...I am so upset and frustrated with lack of concern for a 600 $ program I cannot get to work...where is the support from Adobe??? not here for me!!

Hi Joanne,

Sorry to hear of the frustration.
Which Operating system are you working on?

You might try resetting Lightroom's preferences here: blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2013/06/lightroom-basic-troubleshooting-to-fix-most-issues.html#Preferences

Let us know how it goes after that.

Hi Pete:

Thanks for your reply..I am using Mac os 10.7..anyway..I called Adobe tonite to ask why my senior agent did not call...so I got another nice guy, but two hours later, my problem is still not solved. That is over 4 hours...alot of phone time and these are people who work for Adobe?? Discouraging indeed. Ok they will get the senior guy to call...sure...like he did tonite??

I will try to do what you say...but that sounds pretty complicated..especially when it comes to finding and/or making sure you are using the current catalog...I need the instructions for "dummies" I must admit, I am learning more about my system that I otherwise would have known...so I am encouraged by this learning process...but still I am having little success...We tried to move LR to trash and it would not allow us...because there was something or other that would not let me...I cant remember I was going to re install LR...the guy did not know what that meant...really..well I am going to bed...I sure hope I can get this resolved so I can take my photoshop class...

Thanks..

Joanne
