DNG Raw Convertor problems with the Fuji X-T1

I recently bought a Fuji X-T1 and I cannot download photos as I did with my Nikon D90 through Bridge. It just won't recognise the Raw files. I have tried updating the DNG convertor and the problem persists. Then I read that my version of PS doesn't support the latest of the DNG converter. I have a Mac OS X 10.9.5 and CS5 Extended. Which versions of Camera Raw Plug-in and DNG convertor should I be using to be able to download and convert my images.Cheers.

You need ACR 8.4 or the DNG Converter 8.4 to work with X-T1 raw files.

CS5 only works with ACR 6.x so you'll have to use the DNG Converter 8.4 or newer. You can find it on the following page:

Thanks Steve however I did download the DNG Converter 9.0 and then got a message saying that my version of PS didn't support this version. Any ideas as I am going crazy here. I have grandson's 3rd birthday party photos that Mum and Dad want to see. Also when I tried downloading via SilkyRFCEXInstaller which was on the disc that came with the camera thinking that may help t converted the Raw files to DNG but Bridge could still not recognise them.

Can you post a screenshot of the error you're getting with the DNG Converter?

I'm not great at this sort of thing but did manage to download ACR 8.4 and DNG Converter 8.4 but before I could even try converting to get the error message I lost all my raw files in all my folders over the past 4-5 years.

I could see all the jpeg files but the raw ones just had the symbol showing and that was all previous Nikon (NEF) and Fuji X100 (RAF). I obviously did something wrong - yeah right but I had no idea what.

2 hours later I have re-installed an earlier version of DNG converter - 7.1 and finally I was able to see all thumbnails again BUT the Camera Raw download came as a Patchin for some reason and when you go to Photoshop - About Plug-Ins there is no Camera Raw on the list !!

Any NEF I now try to open with PS gets the error message "could not complete your request because PS does not recognise this type of file".
I know I am being a plank but at the moment - 2.30am, I am just happy to be able to see them again and maybe you can explain to me Steve what I have down wrong that PS will now not recognise something it has done for years.

I am going to bed - tomorrow is another day and at the moment I am more concerned about opening all my previous photo downloads - once that is sorted I will get back to the X-T1 problem - adobe.com states The Camera Raw 7.1 Plug-in is not compatible with versions of photoshop earlier than PS CS6 so have no idea how 8.4 can possible be compatible.
