Dismiss the main Lightroom window when performing a backup on shutdown.

When shutting down the application, Lightroom keeps the main window open while it runs its backup process. Because the backup is the last action the user will take during that application session (and there is no need for the main window to persist), it'd be nice if the main window closed prior to the backup started. (Otherwise, you have to wait for the backup to complete to regain access to whatever is behind the Lightroom window.)

I was going to ask if he was on a Mac. On Windows there is no problem switching to any other window while the backup is happening, even if it's behind the main LR window. If it is icons on the desktop that you can't get to then pressing the Win-D key combination will minimise all windows, including LR, and reveal the desktop.

I’m quite sure I can Command - Tab and switch apps on my Mac. Not in front of my can at the moment.

You can use the dock to switch to another app as well. Hold down the Alt (Option) key while you do that and the Lightroom window should get hidden completely.
