Discontinued hybrid laptop loses pen support in recent Photoshop.

I own an HP Touchsmart/Pavilion TM2 laptop, the rare laptop/tablet "hybrid" that was discontinued by HP in a short amount of time after its release. Just recently, I purchased the creative cloud Student Edition, and CS6 looked just as phenomenal as it did in the beta. However, I have a problem. The new Photoshop CS6 does not fully utilize the "pen" drivers. Yes, they're outdated, but they're outdated due to the discontinuation of the laptop. (sp48676.exe, a modified wacom driver by HP.) This driver (as far as I can tell) is the only fully-compatible driver for the system. Therefore, I cannot update without risking problems or even killing the pen compatibility overall. These drivers are very well compatible with Photoshop CS5 (and earlier) and the CS6 beta, but in the release, CS6 may have been updated with these new tablet support modifications. Please bring back support for this specific driver.

Okay, this is weird. CS6 somehow "learned" how the driver works and it feels more smooth and compatible now.

More likely you installed some new drivers and just recently rebooted to install those drivers.

The wacom driver should be updatable. Don't know about other drivers on the system.

OH my gosh, that was a heck of a day trying to fix this problem. My issue, as it turned out after all, had no relation to Photoshop, but to a glitchy driver that I uninstalled completely and let the system restore the correct driver automatically when it rebooted. It restored itself, it's like nothing happened, like a nightmare.

Thanks anyway.

Which driver was the problem, just in case other users run into the same issue?
