Different results (color), saving as JPG, adjustment-layer (levels) applied

I explored a very annoying behaviour in Photoshop CC 2015:
I have a an adjustment-layer (levels) applied to one of my layers (rendering of a bottle).
Now, if I save a JPG from that, I get a different result as if I first duplicate all the layers (Strg+Shift+C) reduced to one layer!???
The JPG saved with the adjustment-layer looks different, almost as if it where CMYK instead of RGB. If i save both methods as PNGs, both look alright.
Is it a bug?
