Device and output oriented designing for Web, Mobile etc.

It would be great if the workflow of designing would become closer to the target output. I mean there are no templates for app designing for example. I have to read through the android sdk or others and see how I will build this up (size, layers, export and so on). The photoshop document could be more like a Interface builder for the specific output. So I tell Photoshop this is a button, this is the button text, this is the over state and so on. And all I have to think about would be how the interface looks - the design. And photoshop in the end exports the design ready for implemenation in the mobile app. And handels all the technical issues (different output sizes) by its own.

I don't like the photoshop web export actually. Because it is only usefull for rough graphics/layout exporting, but details have to be edited afterwards in the code. This idea could also include web grids and the dynamic layouts (www.mediaqueri.es).

Because there are more and more output formats, I guess developing design tools into a direction where they are tailored for a specififc output is a logical step. Tough one could also say that this would be a task for the companies (like Google for the Android SDK). I guess Microsoft Expression Blend is such a tool. Or one of those mockup tools out there (would need more control like in Photoshop of course).
