First of, I have the latest version of Lightroom (version 4.4) and I have two monitors. I'm running Windows 7 (also with the latest updates).

The problem I'm having is when trying to develop photographs. When selecting a photo and then add some effects (temp, tint, exposure, contrast or whatever from the right panel), the results wont show up in the develop module window. However, the effects show up in the second monitor (using 'Loupe'), but there seems to be some delayment before the result shows. It doesn't matter if I close the second monitor in Lightroom. (as seen in the upper part of the added image)

Second problem is when going back to a previously viewed photo (also in develop module), the photo won't show up at all. (as seen in the lower part of the added image).
This also happens when I can see a photo, and then use one of the presets in the left panel (the photo in develop module window dissapears).

You seem to be describing that the display seems to be having problems updating in Develop.

There are a few different things to try:
1) Reset your LR preferences.
2) Update your video drivers from the video-card-manufacturer's website.
3) Change your monitor's display profile from the manufacturer's profile to sRGB.
4) Recalibrate your monitor and create an ICC V2 profile.

Woohoo!
It was solution #4 which did it! I dug a little deeper and found out that I had selected the wrong display setting with the main monitor in X-rite's calibration program. It was supposed to be "White LED", but it was set to "RGB LED".

Thank you so much! I was pretty much going insane here :-)
