Lightroom: Develop module adjustements do not update in book page layout view.

I'm working in the book module. I see an image on a page layout that needs some adjustment. I click on the image, then click on D to go to the Develop module, I make the adjustment, then click on Book to go back to the book and I can see the updated image in the film strip but the image on the page layout does not update. What do I have to do to make the image on the page layout view display the new adjustment?

Hi Stephen, we were able to reproduce this internally, and the team will log a bug on it. In the meantime, if you switch the view mode in book (for example, go to single page view, then back to grid), you should see the image update to display the develop changes.

After the Develop module adjustment has been made, I have tried double clicking on the image in the book page layout view . I have tried changing to all the available book layout views and back again. I have tried going from the Develop module to the Library module and then back to the Book module. Sometimes the image in the page layout view will display the develop changes but most of the time it does not. Here's a related question. If the image does not display the develop changes and I send the book off to the printer, which version gets printed, the adjusted image or the original unadjusted image?

Stephen, in my experience, the adjusted image is included in the exported book. You can verify this as well, either by exporting the book to PDF, or upploading to Blurb and previewing the book prior to purchase. Let me know if you see different results.

This bug has been fixed in the Lightroom 4.1 release, available now. To get Lightroom 4.1, go to the Help menu in Lightroom and select Check for Updates, then follow the prompts. Or, you can download Lightroom 4.1 from adobe.com.
