Lightroom CC: Desktop not syncing with the cloud

Desktop Lightroom CC is perpetually trying to sync. I tried everything like holding the Alt key + clicking on sync and deleted all the pictures that were trying to sync but it didn't resolve my problem. I also tried logging out and logging back in but still the same issue. Have been trying to contact Adobe help but there doesn't seem to be any online chat anymore? Can Adobe pls assist me thanks.

If you login at http://lightroom.adobe.com with the same Adobe ID you use in the Lightroom CC Desktop app, has anything synced? If you bring a photo into Lightroom CC on Web or use Lightroom CC for mobile from a device, does it sync back to the Lightroom CC desktop?

hi, yes the syncing works for both my mobile and lightroom.adobe.com , just the programme lightroom cc on my laptop doesnt sync.

Are you using a firewall on your system that might be preventing Lightroom CC from syncing?

Nope, it used to work actually, just not too sure why after the update it stopped syncing.

Let's try resetting your preferences to see if it lets things loose.

With Lightroom CC Closed, hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] and click on the Lightroom CC icon. You should see a dialog like this: 

Click the [Reset Preferences] button. 

After the reset, does Sync start? 

If not can you grab me a screenshot of your sync panel (example)

i tried that, but its still perpetually in "syncing" mode

That screenshot helps: I am guessing that with your cloud storage so close to full that you are unable to sync any more.  You may need to clean out some of your Creative Cloud Storage or upgrade your plan so you can store more originals in the cloud.

Hi, I'm having the same problem only my cloud storage isn't close to being full. Just spins and doesn't sync on my desktop. Mobile syncs just fine.

I have the same problem. No syncing from desktop to the cloud. Only since I updated latest install some 4 weeks ago. It is trying to sync some 800 pics. 

Fotos taken with the Iphone do sync and appear in LR on desktop.
Your help is much appreciated.

I have the same problem also. Lots of cloud storage, syncs from mobile but not from desktop. I deleted all of the photos that were supposedly syncing but it still perpetually tries to sync 9 photos. I tried resetting preference and that didn't help either.

I've installed the 7.4 version and it fixed everything. Hopefully 7.6 works.

Please go to Help>System Info... and get us your installed Lightroom version number.

I am on all latest version but syncing new picture from desktop or classic cc to cloud doesn’t work. Reset as well without any success logged out and in serveral times as well without access just display xxxx picture to be synced but not progress. What’s wrong at adobe ??? Somebody should really get that more stable. How to fix. Middle of the wedding season and such a shit of stability.
