This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: Lightroom: Why do I get the "file could not be moved to recycle bin" error message when deleting pictures

Every second time when I want to delete a photo in Lightroom, I get the message "could not be moved to the bin" (in German: Papierkorb). What sort of bug is that in a software of the year 2012?

It's the sort of "bug" that will always be around as long as a third-party app is not completely in charge of an operating system and file system that has other work to do than service that one app.

You don't say where the image file you are removing is located. You don't say what platform you are on. You don't say what steps you took to isolate the problem.

Windows 7, file located on a regular hard disk (in my computer), problem appears irregularly, i.e. cannot be isolated...
However: Adobe Lightroom is the only software that makes this problem...

Have you tried moving to another image, edit it, then press "G" to get back to the grid, then selecting this image again, then deleting?
