Photoshop Elements: how do I get back an effect I deleted?

I use elements 6 and I have accidently deleted an effect "old paper" and i dont know how to get it back-please help!

Unless you have the original file it may be gone. If you still have the source file open it again in Elements. The effect should be there.

Hi David-thanks for your response.When you mean source file I presume you mean the original photo before processing?I reimported it as well as the processed image but sadly with no luck.I have also tried to find the effect"old paper" in the top tool bar but nothing seems to be there.Do you know of any other ways that u could access this?All your help and feedback is greatly appreciated!

What operating system?

Sometimes you can get the effects (an action in this case) back by rebuilding the MediaDatabase.db3 and ThumbDatabase.db3, but unfortunately quite a few people have to reinstall photoshop elements to restore deleted effects.

Terry, I do not work on Elements and I was taking a shot in the dark. Are you saying the effect old paper was an installed effect or plugin installed iwth Elements and now you cannot apply that effect to any image? Or was the effect on one image and now it is gone from that image?
