Lightroom Classic: Delete pics from diskfolder that were removed from equivalent folder in Lightroom?

Hi, When I deleted rejected pictured, I thought they would be deleted at the same time from my hard disk. I now realized they were not and my disk is starting to be full. Would anyone know how to synch my lightroom with my harddisk so that all pictures not in both folders (in disc but not in lightroom folder) are erased automatically. I see that synchronizing allows to import in light room folder new pictures from same folder in disk but what about the contrary (deleting from disk folder picturers not in lightroom folder)? thanks, William

Synchronize the folder(s) in question. All the photos that are in the folder, but not in your database, will be imported. Then go to the last import folder, and delete from there. (Easiest is to make all the imported photos rejects, then delete rejects).

If you have another disk with enough space (portable disk is fine), one way of only keeping the photos that you need is to export your catalog with all photos in it onto that disk. See Export Catalog https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/create-catalogs.html#Exportacatalog, making sure to include the original negatives.

After the clean up, copy back the exported catalog along with the original negatives.

If you "removed" images from Lightroom, that did not delete them from the disk.   This sounds like what happened to you.  If this is the case, use the synchronize folder function to RE-Import these images that you intended to delete from LR and the disk in the first place.
Once you have synchronized a folder and re-imported the images that you want to delete from disk and LR, these image will show up on the Catalog panel under "Previous Import". Verify that you do want to delete these very images and this time chose to deleted them from both LR and the Disk,

When you hit Delete on a photo in Library it asks "Delete from disk", say yes. Do NOT delete photos from a Collection, that only removes them from the Collection not from your drive (always remove from a Lightroom folder). I do what Alan does and just mark them Rejected, then Control-Delete will delete Rejected photos (after it asks you are you sure).
