When one removes an empty folder in Lightroom 5.7.1 for Mac, Lr deletes the folder from a local disk, but leaves it on my Synology NAS. I can delete folders from my Synology NAS using Finder, so I don't believe this is an OS problem. I can't imagine the logic of leaving an empty folder on the NAS; more to the point, it's a pain in the neck to have to go into Finder to delete it on top of removing it from the Lr catalog.

After culling photos and/or doing a bit of reorganization, one is bound to end up with empty folders if you organize your photos by date, as I do. The way Lr currently works adds an unnecessary step to my workflow: having to go into Finder to delete the empty folder from my NAS.

Adobe, please consider deleting empty folders from a NAS when they are removed from the Lr catalog - the way it works for empty folders on local drives that are removed from within Lr.
