Photoshop: Change default setting for Photoshop color themes

I dislike Photoshop’s Color Themes.
But it has been authoritatively pointed out to me that various target audiences have need for different backgrounds. (print: light gray, photography: medium or light gray, video: dark, film: nearly black)

But that would seem to justify the question: »Is Photoshop intended mainly for video use now as a dark setting is the default?«

If not (and if film is also not the main intended target application) I would like to ask that the Color Theme default setting be changed to light in the future.

Photoshop CC 2014 has a dark Color Theme as the default.

Even if I’m repeating myself:
Why is that?
Is image editing only the secondary or tertiary intended use for Photoshop now?
