Enable cut and paste in keyword list. Dragging keywords around is extremely awkward and time consuming with a large list of keywords, especially when creating nested keywords.

The Keyword List is used primarily to display the keywords used by images in your catalog. You can use the list to filter by keyword or add them, but it is really an inefficient way of adding multiple keywords. You can copy and paste keywords from Keywording section.

Yep, I completely agree. This is a complaint I hear regularly when people are trying to rearrange a mammoth list of keywords into a tidy hierarchy. Keywording definitely needs some love.

Drag & Droppping keywords in the keyword list is a chore, it's either very slow, or suddenly picks up speed as your reach the top or bottom of they panel viewport. It's also inconsistent; selecting multiple keywords to drag&drop them to another keyword "directory" sometimes work, or only move the first one. Even more puzzling, moving a keyword in the hierarchy suddenly opens other parts of the keyword hierarchy tree, for no reason. You end having to close all these subtrees over and over.

I would like to see an option like "put new keyword inside this keyword" for use with organizing existing keywords where you could mark an existing keyword as a parent to the next words that were clicked on in the list. That way by browsing through the list you could move existing words to the parent with just a mouse click. I already have a word set up to catch new words as they are created in the import process. I created " * unclassified", because of the asterisk it stays at the top of my list and with the option "Put new keywords inside *unclassified" turned on any new keywords all stay at the top until I have some time to Drag and Drop them to where they belong
