Photoshop Elements: Can't install update

I have tried for 6 months to install the patch to PSE. I cannot seem to get a hold of a customer service rep, the system is unable to install the patch, and there seems to be no solution that I can access. I am unwilling to wait on the phone for over 2 hours, that is ridiculous. That is not customer service. It seems to be set up to discourage rather than encourage contact. HOW DO I GET THE PATCH AND MY SOFTWARE UPDATED!!!!!!!

Hi Karen,

What version of Photoshop Elements are you trying to install an update for? Also, what OS are you on?

When you choose Help>Updates... do you see the update?

PSE 9 - Windows 7, yes I see the update. It won't install. It says install failed, contact customer service, but with a 2hr wait, not practical. It has been this way since I purchased the software. it is very frustrating.

I have the same problem, the customer service is very poor. It seems to be installing correctly, and takes almost a minute, and then it says the update failed.

I'm not sure if this is what is happening or not, but I have heard reports from some other customers about not being able to install the 9.03 update only to discover they already had it installed. You can check the version you have by going to Help > About Photoshop Elements. If that is the case, one way I have heard to fix it is to uninstall the program and reinstall it and then run the updates again.
