Separate Unit-Associated Grid Profiles: The ability to have independent grids for each unit of measurement. Example: Switching from inches to millimeters will also switch your grid from English subdivisions (8ths or 16th) to Ten-based numbering.

I want to be able to switch from an Inch Ruler to a Pixel Ruler without requiring the need to go into my Preferences and changing the guides and grid settings.

Try ctrl-clicking one of the rulers.

I found I can use the Actions Panel to to make changes to my Preferences!
Now I can just click on the actions and my rulers and grids can both change to any one of an unlimited number of custom settings.
