Please allow users to set a custom name for each pictures in the catalog and export that with this name. This is helpful if pictures are subject to frequent reviews but needs to preserve the name in each export, for example because intended for use in a web database.

You can already do that, using the Copy Name field in the Metadata panel and the Copy Name token in the rename dialog.  (Although I'm not quite clear on why you don't rename the original file if the name needs to stay fixed throughout.)

Great! It work perfectly! (Just because the export name is for final client, I want to preserve original name on the file for archive purposes) Many many thanks!

Hi,

Another option is to use File Rename presets when you export and add a token at the start or end of the file name each time you export. For example, if I am exporting a large number of items for upload to a lab and there are different sizes included, I add the size as a token in front of the file name which I also preserve for archival purposes. So if I have the same image file as a 5x7, an 8x10, and an 11x14, then in my export folder i have for image JFW-1123 the following files:
5x7-JFW-1123, 8x10-JFW-1123, and 11x14-JFW-1123. Now, I will always know how they are cropped (ratio) and the lab will know the size I expect. I think using a preset during export will be faster for you since you can set it up at the start and then if you are exporting 100 photos, it will happen automatically for you.
