Since I added this as a bug which was merged into this topic and marked as solved! by Adobe, which it is not, I will add it again, because for me this is causing a lot of workflow problems.

When you want to drag a Shape over another layer with ctrl + alt so that it becomes a shape mask, photoshop automatically zoom and fill the entire screen with the canvas every time!

Can confirm this is an issue. Let's be clear though, it's not resizing your actual canvas. Just zooming in all the way so that it fills your screen.

I dont mean resizing canvas as in changing the pixel size. But if you have your image in a small canvwas windows, that window will expand to the entire screen, so if you work with multiple images it breaks the layout every time.

Howdy Joachim,

Your issue was never fixed, but the bug I logged for it November 18th is still open.  So, I'm not sure what happened here, but on our side, we still this on our list of things to fix.

Sorry for the confusion,
David

I'm very glad that Adobe is planning to fix this bug. But yet another update came out today and the bug still is there. I do not understand how it can be so difficult/time consuming fix this? I would assume a lot more people are using the alt+ features on layers than people needing the auto zoom, you should at least let people disable this auto zoom feature for the time being, until it will be fixed.  -Personally I have no use for this new feature whatsoever.
