Photoshop CS6 Save as JPG default "file name" not same name as original file

I am working in Photoshop CS6 and I saved my file as Drink 11.5oz .psd and when I go to "save as" as a jpg... the default file name is Drink 11.jpg

Is there a way to fix the default file name so it says "Drink 11.5oz" instead of "Drink 11"?

Have you installed the 13.0.1 update?

And which OS version are you using?

I just did all the updates yesterday and I am using Windows 7,

It seems that if I have a "." in my file name.. when the default file name appears when I go to save as it erases everything past where the period was..

Yep, something thinks that it should remove the .5oz because it looks like a file extension.

Is there something I can do to keep it from deleting that ending? I just switched from CS4 to CS6 and It worked fine before as along as I typed in .psd into the original file name..

Hey Stephanie, did you ever find a solution to this Photoshop CS6 problem? I'm running into the exact same issue, where it strips out the part of the filename that comes after a period "." character.

set windows to reveal extensions for known file types:
CTRL Panel -> Folder options -> uncheck "hide extensions for known file types"
