CS6 performance when selecting layers

Having just downloading and installed CS6 I fired up PS with a nice big 116mb PSD and the performance has shot right down. It's about 25-50% slower when it comes to selecting layers, applying effects, general things than CS5.5 was.

Is this because it's a new release? Here are my system specs: http://cl.ly/130A2y1N2V3a320e0W01

No, other people aren't seeing that sort of slowdown.

It could be a video driver issue, a third party plugin, or something else odd about your system.

I'm having similar issues. Trying to move a group of layers in a 133 MB document I constantly get a 'nudge' dialogue and it takes forever to move the layers.

I tried playing around with the Performance settings but haven't had any luck...

And that would be a different problem from what is discussed here.

Try turning off Layer Thumbnails.

Oh, sorry Chris, and thanks for the reply. If this is a known issue, is there a fix planned other than the interim Layer Thumbnail workaround?
