CS6 PDF Rasterization - Poor Quality issue

Hi - After years of a predictable image quality upon importing PDFs into Photoshop, we're seeing a degradation of the resulting image with CS6, using the same files and import settings. I've seen similar posts here re: tesselation problems, and I'd suspect they might be related - something has changed in the PS RIP with CS6.

I thought pasting the INDD contents as a vector smart object layer in PS might be a fix - but that's even worse. Even the CS5 result there isn't too great, but is still better than the CS6.

Please see examples, which use the same PDF and import settings, also attached - thanks.

There is something wrong with the way InDesign is creating some PDF files. We've seen a couple of problems when rasterizing them, but haven't figured out why the rasterization quality changed in all cases.

Can you send me the original InDesign file, the PDF file, and the settings you used when saving the PDF File? ccox (at) adobe (dot) com
