Photoshop CS6: UI contrast too low for some items

With the new darker UI the ruler increments are much less visible. Compare them to those in the previous lighter UI. This is a serious negative.

Please lighten the increment marks to a lighter tone of grey to improve visibility.
(Please don't let style override function!)

The dotted dynamic mark in the rulers indicating the current cursor position is more like the colour required for good visibility.)

Have you tried any of the other UI darkness/lightness settings? The darkest setting adds more contrast to this area.

I just installed PS CS6 (up from CS3) and I also noticed a loss of contrast in all images. I set the interface colors to the same I have in CS3 and it is very noticeable when I load the same image in both and toggle between them.

This topic is about contrast in the UI, not in the images opened in the application. Please start a new discussion topic, include information about the platform you are working on, and provide some screen shots for comparison.
