It seems like no one really knows how to solve the issue why photos print with a dark shadow on them from Adobe CS5 & CS6 on the iMac. I have been trying to fix this for over one year. I have updated the CS6 to the latest version. I have two HP printers and neither one prints without the dark shadow. Now if I get the same project made on the Adobe CS6 Mac and take to an Windows platform Adobe PSE it will print perfectly. Why is that? What isn't working between the imac and Adobe CS6?

We don't know of any problems with Photoshop itself causing "dark shadows" or miscolored prints. Most likely you are either making mistakes in the print settings, or there is a problem with your specific printer driver and OS version.

I do know that some MacOS 10.8 drivers need to be updated from the printer manufacturer to work correctly.

And Epson has had some problems with their recent 3800/4800 series drivers.

HP so far just seems to have problems with custom paper sizes.
