DAZ Studio 3D Bridge not working with Photoshop 13.1.2 (DAZ bug)

The last two Adobe Photoshop CS6 64 bit creative cloud updates break the DAZ 3D Bridge http://www.daz3d.com/3d-bridge-for-ph.... The bridge was working fine with Adobe Photoshop CS6 Version 13.0.X64 but now on version 13.1.2 X64 gives an error on launch of the DAZ Studio 3D Bridge from Photoshop File/Automate command. The error reads: Could not complete the DAZ 3D Studio 3D Bridge command because of a program error.

Have you contacted Daz about this? Do they have an update available?

I know the problem is with Photoshop as version 13.0 works fine. I tested both of my computers and as long as I keep CS 6 version 13.0.X it works fine.

When I upgraded CS 6 to version 13.1.1 x64 in one of my computers the 3D Bridge broke then I tried 13.1.2 x64 and it was still broken. Then I installed the Photoshop update on my backup computer and it also destroyed the working 3D bridge on that one too.

No, you don't actually know that -- it could easily be a bug in the Daz code that was just exposed by the change in Photoshop (we see this happen a lot).

Again, have you talked to Daz about this?

For reference I have also reported to DAZ Mantis bug tracker here:
https://bugs.daz3d.com/view.php?id=49405

but like I wrote, the plugin was working fine until Adobe Creative Cloud updated.

You will have to ask DAZ about that.

Any word on this? It has been over 9 months. . . . it still isn't working for me. Is there a way to download and install an older version of Photoshop?

I haven't heard anything from DAZ about an update - but then I don't use their software that often myself. Have you checked with them?

This bridge was extremely important to my workflow. How can I obtain and install the 13 64bit version of Photoshop?

This is just one more instance of a reason I don't like the cloud. Seems there is a lot of 'fog' up there. :(

I am downloading it now. Haven't gotten too far. I'm hoping with the latest updates from Daz it still works with 13.x. I suspect we will have to reinstall the plugin into the CS6 directory though.

I had to login in several times and run the Download Photoshop CS6 a couple times. My opinion of the product and support is not very high right now. However, I am grateful for this thread being opened again. It got me mad and I can channel that anger into something productive. I looked before but the worthless responses just made me shrug my shoulder and move on. I've been looking at other products but thanks to you John I revisited this one. I do like the bridge and I suspect they will be supporting other products (like Gimp) before too long.

Thank you!

Okay. So, version 13.1.2 still does not work. Is there a way to downgrade that version further?

So back to square one. Neither Daz or Adobe will take ownership of the problem and try to fix it. Both parties will blame the other. Awesome.

Have you talked to DAZ? This is a DAZ issue, that only DAZ can solve in their code.

Here is how to download CS6

1. Go to the www.creativecloud.com and login.
2. Go to the DOWNLOAD center Select PHOTOSHOPCC
3. On the Photoshop page down near the center is a section that says "In This Version". There is a drop down below that that says "Photoshop CC".
4. Change the drop down to "Photoshop CS6".
5. The theory is at this point you can download Photoshop CS6 when you click on the big blue button in the upper left.
6. This will then launch the utility and give you the option to download CS6 inside the CC panel. You may have to click on it a couple times and log in once or twice to get it to recognize the change.
7. This still will not fix the "Daz3d" problem.
