PHOTOSHOP CS6 - Mac Pro (Yosemite) - suddenly very slow to save a file

Been using CS6 on a Mac Pro for about a year, upgraded to Yosemite a while back with no problem.
Suddenly CS6 has gone slow - crawls - especially when saving a file. No reason why, just discovered this yesterday morning when using for the first time that day.
Takes minutes to save each file.
Thought possibly a Cache issue so purged the cache but this hasn't made any difference.

Advice welcome.......

Are you saving to a network drive?
Are you saving to an external drive? (one that might have a bad connection)
Have you added or removed any other software in the past few days?

Sampling the app while it is slow saving a file might tell us more about what it (and the system) is doing.

Saving to Desktop, or to external drive (with plenty of capacity) via Thunderbolt. Every other type of file is fast, problem is just those saved from CS6.

Only issue recently, which did coincide but I've assumed to be seperate was a Microsoft Office auto update (14.5.0) - which knocked out Outlook. Apparently this update had the same effect elswhere and not recommended. Took the advised route of killing all cached prefs, which then enabled Outlook to be opened.

Maybe this did have some effect on CS but can't see how.

I don't see how it could, either.

But something changed on your system - and we don't know what else is on your system that might be causing such a slowdown. You'll have to check for bugs in antivirus, firewalls, etc. on your system.
