Photoshop CS6: Suddenly fails to launch

I know this appears to be a common problem, but nothing I have stumbled across has fixed my problem.

After a few hours of productivity, Photoshop decides that it no longer wants to stay open. Launching any of the software from my CS6 Design Standard collection reliably results in its shutting down a few seconds later without producing an error message. I have heard rumors that it's from an unsuccessful launch of the startup window, but I haven't been able to adjust that setting as the program closes.

I have tried uninstalling, removing preferences, and a maddening number of other attempts but to no avail.

I just ran a registry cleaner and am currently attempting to reinstall but I am incredibly frustrated.

Did anyone get a satisfying answer to this problem?

Thank you!

Typically, if the software is working correctly, then it doesn't, something has modified or removed files required for the software to work. 3rd party utilities, registry cleaners and some anti-virus can do this. The key is to track down what on your system is damaging or removing the files.

You can uninstall using "Add/remove programs" and try the cleaner tool to get back to a good state and reinstall: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suit...
