I have loaded PSE9 and PS CS5 on my Mac and I recently received an upgrade to CS5.5 extended from Adobe. I did not uninstall the previous CS5 or the PSE9 and I cannot see the Extended version showing in the about. I also do not see some of the other tools. I click on the blue PS app and Photoshop comes up and the PSE9 also will come up OK...... but I cannot find the CS5.5 extended with the tools and the CS5.5 extended does not show in the ABOUT. I wondering whether I had to deActivate or uninstall the PS CS5 and the PSE9 before installing the extended?
Please help! Thanks

Photoshop wasn't upgraded with CS5.5. There were some minor updates, but it wasn't included in the "5.5" update.

Just for reference, if others have questions about a Photoshop version CS5.5, this topic answers those questions:

Did you have the Extended version of Photoshop before? Which upgrade did you buy?

Extended or not depends on the serial number. Try deactivating and reactivating using the extended serial number.

OK, I am not quite sure how to perform this safely... so let me ask:

If I click on my Ps app and go to help > deActivate > suspend then ?

And do I then enter the ser # of the CS5.5 extended disk instead of the
CS5 ser #?
This is a bit unclear to me on how to go about this without messing up my registration or the Adobe CS5.5 extended.
Thank you!

Deactivate, quit, relaunch and it'll ask you for a serial number, then enter the extended serial number.
