Photoshop: CS5.1 brush control problems

CS5.1 has issues with brush characteristics. Comparing CS5 on my laptop to CS5.1 in my desktop, using the same tablet and mouse with identical brush settings. There is definitely some lost control issues as far as softness goes, and control in the middle of extreme brush pressures. I can better explain the problem with a example file I made if I can email it somewhere to adobe or whomever. This may seem slight, but as a retoucher using PS daily, this is a complete pain and time is money.

Is the Tip Feel setting in the Wacom control panel set the same on both machines? It looks like one is set firmer than the other.

It's a setting you made somewhere: 12.0.4 and 12.1 are the same code.

OK, I think I may have found it. I am aware of spacing and what it does but never touch it. I think that was causing the problem. I changed it to 25% which seems to match what I had before.
This is just weird because I was messing with every setting to try to correct the problem including spacing before posting this with no success. ah well.
