I open a JPG photo in Camera Raw. I crop the photo to 8X10. I make numerous other modifications to the photo. I depress "Alt" key, which opens a copy of the photo in Photoshop CS5. When I edit the photo in CS5, all of the modifications made in Camera Raw are still there, except for the crop. The photo is now 4X5. I have to crop it again.
Is this a JPG issue? The crop is maintained between Camera Raw and CS5 for Raw photos.

Working fine for me with JPEGs or TIFFs (Mac OS). That is, if I assign a crop, then open image from ACR, I get the crop.

I'm on Windows 7, 64-bit. Can't understand why it keeps all the rest and just picks on the crop.

What happens if you just click "Open Image" without holding down the alt key?

Are you committing the crop (hitting enter) before opening the file in Photoshop? It is working for me in Win 7, Leopard and Lion.
