Photoshop CS6: Cropping does not appear to work correctly for video

After creating a simple text animation on a large canvas, I tried using the crop tool to bring the document down to size. The result was that the document was cropped to the size I specified, but every frame was in the wrong place, except for the one frame that had been visible when I cropped--that one frame snapped everything back to the correct place for one frame.

I can understand arguments for having crop *not* affect the position values of an animation, and for having it do so...but having it not do so except for one frame is the exact combination that has no practical uses!
