Cropping by pixel

I would like to see a feature that would allow you to trim a photo by specifying how many pixels to remove from around the border. While scanning dozens of pictures I found it hard to get them on the glass exactly square resulting in some white and uneven edging. The standard crop feature would sometimes jump when I tried to get it close to the edge costing a lot of time messing around with one picture, Plus eyeballing a crop requires you scanning all four sides of the photo. So it seems like if you could do a Trim for so many pixels the program could remove that amount from around the picture, keeping the aspect ratio, basically cropping the photo and removing the irregular edging you got when scanning.

Hi John, What application are you referring to?

In Photoshop, you can choose Image>Canvas Size... or in Photoshop Elements, you can choose Image>Resize>Canvas Size... to enter pixel dimensions to crop the image to.
