Crop bug LightRoom 5.5 with 4x Ultra HD screen (3840x2160)

Lightroom 5.5 x64, Windows 8.1, brand new machine (Toshiba P55t laptop with 4x Ultra HD screen 3840x2160, came with LR5 preinstalled) Crop is a little slow to turn off (10 seconds), however, if I paste settings from previous then try to crop it takes minutes for the crop rectangle to show up and minutes to turn off again. I thought it was related to the Upright correction but it is happening even if the previous picture has it turned off. If I leave LR5 open and switch the resolution to 2048x1152 the crop will turn off and on as expected with no delay. If I then change back to 3840x2160 it will toggle on/off as long as I don't change the crop, if I change it, it goes back to taking minutes to turn off/on again.

I tried the same scenario on another equally powered but much lower resolution
machine (1920x1080) and everything works fine on it.

I just got the machine so I don't know if it was an issue with LR5.4 or not.

It also happens without paste from previous, it is just a matter of continuing to process until it happens. The only work around I have found is to ensure all previews are built and move the images to force it to work with smart previews instead. This means that I am processing with images that are smaller than "Fit" or "Full" but at least I can process photos. Once it hits the problem it locks up Lightroom until it is done with whatever it is trying to do.
