Photoshop: Crop tool rotate grid

When I move the crop tool outside the image to access the rotate option I used to get a grid that was spaced about 1cm on my screen. After I updated to 2020 the grid is about 1mm on screen and is so dense that it makes the tool all but unusable. How do I get back to a sensible grid?

Which application are you talking about? Photoshop? If Photoshop, then go to Preferences - Guides, Grids & Slices and set the gridlines and subdivisions to what you want.

Photoshop, the grid is set the same as it always was and there is another answer that says that preferences setting does not affect the crop/rotate grid.

I see a normal grid when I try. Like in this document: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/crop-straighten-photos.html
Maybe you should try to reset the preferences?
