Don't like watermarking on Premiere Elements trial software

I am frustrated that Adobe treats a potential customer like a criminal, uses outdated marketing traps, and in general frustrates an honest evaluation of a trial product. The practice of plastering a bar (call it a watermark if you want) across the whole of a project or file while a consumer is trying to learn how it works, figure out how the different parts work, what happens if, trying various techniques, or for goodness sake maybe even creating their first video they can upload to Facebook and say to their friends "Look what I did with this cool Premiere Elements software!" is NOT a productive sales technique. Why, that upload alone could lead to more sales!

This type of "watermarking" went out 15 or 20 years ago when most companies figured out this is not consumer friendly. About the only time you see it now is on high end college project software (like architecture) that states "Student Edition" to protect against a student trying to pass off a project as professional. So what if a consumer makes a video and doesn't buy the product? After the time period they are locked out from making more and you have these assurances to prevent abuses. For every one of those "cheaters" there are probably hundreds of people excited and happy that will subsequently upgrade after the trial period. A trial should be without restrictions. "Here it is in all its glory. We hope you like it". Lose the watermark on your trial version --- it really upset me. I am seriously considering another product where the software company values me as a consumer, and doesn't worry that I might be cheating. I seriously was considering Premiere, now I am not so sure.

Exactly. I am reporting that 3 years later, this is still the case, which is a shame.

I too was very dissapointed with the watermark across the scree. I have paid many times for many product and this is awful to just try. As soon as I saw it, I said what the heck. I am trying to figure out if this will work for me and this is hindering my ability.
