Photoshop: Creative Cloud application failed to install when updating

I have now had two alerts that Adobe Creative Cloud has an update. When I accept this the screen displays 'Updating Creative Cloud Desktop'. However, after a few minutes the message reads 'We've encountered the following issues: Creative Cloud failed to install'

Could you please advise what the problem is likely to be, and how I install. The Creative Cloud icon has now disappeared from my desktop. However Photoshop CC is working fine.

Hi John, Are you on Mac or Windows?

Hi Jeffrey. I'm on Windows. However, have just managed to get technical advice from Adobe who advised to delete and reinstall Creative Cloud. This seems to have worked. So I'm hoping that the problem doesn't recur when the next update comes. But so far so good!

Yeah. That's what I was going to suggest. Uninstall and reinstall the Creative Cloud app. Glad you're up and running.

update?? I'd be happy just to have the program install. Brand new computer, followed your instructions. You have far too many complaints. FIX your system and program. It obviously sucks.
Its too bad I didn't know that BEFORE I gave you my credit card info. And THEN when I called customer service, the call hung up.
Call me, please at 910-477-1610. I either want the program to work or my money back.
Thus far, you and Dell would never get any form of recommendation from me or my foundation.
