Creative cloud now REQUIRES an Internet connection?

It seems that when I first joined the creative cloud I was able to sign out from the application manager and still use Lightroom and Photoshop. In trying to help someone today on the Lightroom forum I tried it under Lightroom CC. After I signed out I was forced to sign back in before I could have access to Lightroom. This seems a bit unrealistic. How do travelers who are away from the Internet have access to their software? More and more surprises!

No, it doesn't require an internet connection... you can be offline up to 99 days before it stops working. It does want you to be signed into an Adobe ID, but you don't have to be online all the time.

Then I don't understand. Why did it require me to sign back in and connect me to the Internet before it would give me access to Lightroom again?

You could have the CC installed on more than 2 computers, but you can only be signed in to 2 computers at any one time. By signing out, you are deauthorizing that computer and you could sign into CC from another computer that wasn't previously signed in on (and thus unable to use it).

Try being signed into this computer you are complaining about, then disable the internet connection...you should be able to work without a problem now even thouigh you are not connected to the internet as long as you are signed into CC before you disconnect from the internet.

Yup, don't sign out James. That was the problem.
