Is it possible to create an action that changes the individual RGB channels with a curves layer - no matter what the original color you have selected using the SHFT/Click with the eyedropper tool. I have tried this several times, but in running the action it responds differently to each color I originally select - instead of changing the color to the specific values I originally set on the curves layer.

For example: Create an action that changes a select color to R-243 G-208 B-178 in a new curves layer. However, in selecting a different color and running the same action it will not give me the same 243/208/178.

Sorry, I’m not sure I understand.
You want the Action to work based on a Color Sampler in the current image or always identically?

In the first case I think you will need Scripting as straight Actions can not properly include conditionals.

Hi Christoph,

Thanks for answering. The answer to your question is 'always identically.' Thanks for reminding me of scripting. I think that is going to take care of my question. (smile)
