Summary: Create "short names" for lenses.
Problem: I only see "Nikon AF-S NIKKOR..." in the lens correction panel. It's impossible to detect which lens Lightroom has detected at a glance without hovering the mouse over the settings box.
Solution: strip the useless data from the lens name, only include the important part. For example, "16-35/4VR" instead of "Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 16-35mm f/4G ED VR". Or "85/1.4G" instead of "Nikon AF-S Nikkor 85mm f/1.4G ED".
