Bridge: cr2 format changed to exec in batch rename

bridge batch rename. While renaming Cr2 photos, the images were converted from Cr2 to exec format. How to revert to Cr2

Sounds like you're on Windows. Do you mean .exe format?

What were the settings for your rename?

Thanks for the reply. The computer is a i max os x version 10.6.8.
the suffix is exec and under file info the label is unix executable file.

as for batch rename
Preset was default
Destination was same folder
New filename under text "new file name"
Sequence # 1 four digits
options all blank except max os checked

after all the images went exec I tried again with a single cr2 image and the renaming was fine keeping the cr2 suffix. I have used the batch rename on several occasions since than and it works fine. John

How many files are there that are like this?

Have you tried to batch rename them and change the extension back to CR2?

I tried earlier to change the extension with no success. I just did it again and it works. Thanks for your help. John
