Corrupted Preferences File in Photoshop CC 2015.

It appears that my PSCC 2015 Settings file was corrupted. Somehow my Default Workspace was lost and would not load (even after restoring the workspace to the defaults). I then followed Julieanne Kost's instructions for removing my preferences file and allowing Photoshop to recreate it - and upon reentering Photoshop CC the default workspace returned - fixing the problem. I have saved the file as Julieanne requested - I just need to know where to send it for analysis.

BTW, Adobe support really seems to suck! I went to the support site and there is nowhere to enter a BUG or to upload a file for consideration. I could not find it here either - even-though Julieanne directs us here in her video on troubleshooting preferences file errors. Something needs to be done at Adobe to make support an easy process. When people are having problems the last thing you want to do is compound the problem by making it difficult to get support for resolving the issue.

This appears to be a case of the arrogance of having no real competition. If there were another program out there that did the same things as Photoshop and had better service (and better pricing) - I, and I suspect thousands like me, would switch (and I have been using Photoshop exclusively since version 6 - not CS6 but Photoshop 6).

  • Pissed because the instructions in Julieanne's video about how to report this (incl. uploading a zip of the corrupted pref file is wrong and there seems to be no way to do what was asked.
