Corrupt CS6

Adobe Photoshop cs6 student and teacher addition seems to be corrupt.
Updates fail, third party plug-in do not work properly, Piccure is one, won’t show up in 64 bit cs6.
Loading photo shop from bridge takes about 2 min.
So my question is this, can I reinstall over the already installed version and use the same student license emailed to me by adobe. Student versions do not come with a cd key on the box, just and authorizing code to get one from adobe.
As an aside Belarc Advisor say it is a trial version and reports the installed key different from the one Adobe gave me. Belarc Advisor is an inventory tool use by the state etc to check license and software hardware on each machine.
Thanks Ron

If Photoshop takes that long to launch - something is wrong. It shouldn't take more than 20 seconds (and that's on the worst laptop around, it's normally about 7 seconds to launch, or 2 if you have an SSD)..

First make sure that the app hasn't been moved away from it's support folder, and that you don't have a ton of things added to the plugins folder or presets folders. Misconfigured antivirus software (especially scanning on all file access) could also cause slowdowns.

And I have no idea what "belarc advisor" is or how reliable it might (or might not) be...
